We save your time and encourage you to start the selection process wherever you are. As a reward, for helping us avoid the expense of a shop front, we'll pass on the saving and keep our prices as low as possible. Selling Artwork

We buy outright and pay on delivery of the artwork, so if you'd like to keep the auction premium in your own pocket, not have to wait to see if the work sells and then also wait for payment, contact Abstract Australis. We are particularly interested in the artists listed on our site and other notable Australian Artists, so if you're considering the sale of an artwork, please allow us the opportunity to quote. New contemporary Australian art is being sought all the time.

Commissioned Searches

If you don't find the artwork you're looking for on our site, maybe a commissioned search for that elusive piece can help. We’ll contact our resources, search all our available vendor portfolios and provide a detailed list of works currently available for purchase.

Collection Photography

Whether it’s an important piece that’s already worth a small fortune or a personally selected piece by an emerging artist, don’t take any risk with it. Make sure you insure it properly and make sure you have the right documentation and photographs to support any potential claim.

We can arrange digital photography of one piece or a whole collection. All images will be supplied laminated on A4 stock and in a digital format for suitable storage.

If you only need one piece photographed, you can bring it to us and help keep the cost down, but if it’s a large number of works, we can pack up the equipment and capture the images onsite. If you’ve got a valuation or still have the receipt from purchase we can also have the image and the valuation/ receipt laminated back to back for safe keeping.

Installation

Having completed your search and secured the artwork that may be in your family for generations, don’t trust a 5 cent hock & nail to hold it in place for a while. We can arrange a quality installation, in the right place, at the right height and at a time convenient to you.

Payment & Finance Options:

We prefer payment by Electronic Transfer, but we also accept Visa, MasterCard.or cash.

Short term finance and time payment plans are also available. (subject to terms and conditions)

Transport

We carefully pack and deliver all our works within the Melbourne metropolitan area and select Victorian rural areas. If you are elsewhere in Victoria, Interstate or Overseas we can arrange for a specialist art transport service to deliver your purchase right to your door. Delivery outside Australia may incur additional charges.

Emerging Australian Artists looking for representation

If you’re an artist looking for representation, please give us a call and we’ll discuss the best way to view your artworks. You may also send your CV and accompanying photos or CD to our postal address. P.O. Box 47, Brighton, Victoria 3186. If you would like the images returned, please include a suitably stamped addressed envelope. Please do NOT send unsolicited images to our email address, as the SPAM filter eats them.
